My parents bought me an Allen organ and I took lessons on it from first through eighth grade. I played the clarinet in the school band from sixth through ninth grade. I took up guitar my sophomore year in high school. |
| How I entered the "Folk Music Scene": |
I sold my guitar in 1991 for a mountain dulcimer. I purchased another guitar in 1994. |

I met Cindy in a folk group at church and met Kathy through dulcimer club. |

I met Laura and Cindy through Standing Stone Strings and Things dulcimer club. |

My brother sent me my first guitar while he was in the Army, stationed in Italy. I purchased my first dulcimer in 1991. |
